shibari beginner class in july

Tuesday evening class for beginners

Hours: 6 – 8pm

The beginner course is directed at learning the basics of Shibari/Kinbaku technique. We start systematically with efficient handling of body, rope, and safety principles. The material contains a wide range of harnesses for floor work. Understanding restriction from the models perspective, but also from the riggers perspective to realise adventurous phantasies or create meditative ties.

Please bring soft clothes and ropes if you have. You can register alone or with a partner.

Topics of the class are floor work and introduction to half- and/or full-suspension technique. You need to know basic shibari, firm column ties and any suspendable box tie -> takatekote/gote.
We have a close look at floor patterns and check if they are suspendable. Lock-off techniques for half-/suspension lines (zuri) on ring, and in the second step on bamboo.
The material also contains: safety principles like friction and tension, pain management for the model, and sculpting the body in the air.

Topic of the class is half- and/or full-suspension technique. We look at different lock-off techniques for suspension lines on a ring, and later on bamboo.
The material also contains: sustainable harnesses, sculpting the body in the air, pain management for the model, and safety principles.
You need to know the shibari basics: column ties, a suspendable TK.
